Paraparaumu School

PRINCIPAL’S Corner

Dear families and friends of our school

Welcome back to Term 2 here at Paraparaumu School. I hope the holidays were a restful fun time for all.

Siblings: Despite our implementation of a school enrolment zone we continue to experience strong roll growth. If you have younger siblings of children already here that we are not aware of can you please let Jo in the office know. This will help immensely with our planning and working out when we need new classrooms. Your support here would be most appreciated.

Student Led conferences—This term we will be holding our student led conferences—information on how to book these will follow next week—meanwhile note the school closing early on Wednesday 21 June

Please note in the upcoming dates the days that the school is closed in June.

Nga mihi nui ki a koutou – warm regards to you all.

Student of the Week

Huia                       Room 12                      Year 5

Huia, you have had such an amazing year! We love the focus, positivity and determination you have shown towards your learning. You have been working so hard with Amber and have written some wonderful stories to go with your beautiful pictures. You have been enthusiastically joining in with class discussions and activities and we love having your creativity and your sense of humor in Room 12.  You have developed and maintained some really special friendships, are kind and considerate towards your friends and are learning how to manage tricky social situations. We are so so very proud of you! Keep up the fabulous work.

Cross Country training will start next week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

Please ensure your child comes to school with appropriate footwear.

Pink Shirt Day is about working together to stop bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting kindness and inclusiveness. We would like to encourage everyone to wear something pink in support of this worthy cause.
